The Delhi government hopes to make the city a hub of high technology and skilled economic activities, Delhi industry minister Haroon Yusuf said on Thursday.
The minister told an event in the capital that with the advent of Delhi’s new industrial policy for 2012-21, the capital’s economic profile would change from one of low-skilled to high-tech and high-skilled economy.
A key strategy to achieve this would be through infrastructure development and better management of industrial estates, he said. Yusuf was addressing members of industrial associations while launching the upgrade of infrastructure of the Patparganj and Okhla (Phase III) industrial areas.
