Delhi Police organise Cashless Transactions Awareness Campaign

In view of demonetisation and the need for making people know the benefits of cashless transactions, the Delhi Police on Saturday organised a Cashless Transaction Awareness Campaign.

Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Minister of State for Home, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi, Manoj Tiwari, Delhi BJP chief,  Vijender Gupta, MLA from Rohini, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, Alok Verma and Senior Police Officers attended the awareness programme.

Also around 250 Police Mitras, 350 members of Resident Welfare Associations and Market Welfare Associations and 1,200 police personnel attended the Campaign.

Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, MoS for Home appreciated Delhi Police for making effective law and order arrangements to facilitate the people visiting banks and ATMs after demonetisation. He also requested Delhi Police and other stakeholders in society to educate the benefits and importance of cashless transaction to people at large including rural areas and particularly farmers. 

He also complimented Delhi Police for organising this awareness programme.  The participants were also briefed how to download the mobile app and create payment wallets for recharge of phone, bill payments and shopping. They were also taught how to avail different offers and track the expenses for hassle free payments.
