Delhi Police name Dawood in chargesheet

Delhi Police on Tuesday named underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel in its chargesheet filed in the IPL spot-fixing and betting scandal. In the 6,000-page long chargesheet, Delhi Police has also named cricketers S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan among 39 others as accused in the scandal unearthed during IPL 6.
All accused have been charged under 120-B, 420 of IPC and relevant section of Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act. The chargesheet says, ‘Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel to be named as accused. They will be described as fountain head of fixing and betting in India. Dawood was finalising the betting rates.’
