Delhi Police felicitate girl for bravery

Delhi Police felicitated a girl on Thursday for her bravery and courage in helping in the arrest of a youth.

Police said the incident occurred on Tuesday when Rani Pandey, a resident of North East district, was driving to her office in Dilshad Garden.

The accused Faheem, a resident of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh attempted to snatch Rani Pandey’s gold chain along with his two associates, but she managed to save it, police said. “She later started chasing Faheem and his two associates showing the exemplary act of bravery and courage,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ajit Kumar Singla said. 

She single-handedly intercepted the motorcycle of the culprits near Mrignaini Chowk but they managed to escape, leaving their motorcycle behind, Singla said. Police have arrested Faheem, while his two associates are still on run. Rani has been felicitated for her act of courage, the DCP said.
