Delhi Police arrest burglars who came in a car to steal

Just as the police are evolving new methods and technologies to nab criminals, the latter, however, not far behind. They too are evolving new innovative methods to commit crimes and dodge cops. The Delhi Police have arrested two burglars who came in  a Volkswagen car and committed burglaries in Delhi. The car was used to mislead the residents and investigation.

How many of us would suspect men in car to be burglars? These arrested men exploited this psychology to break in the locked houses of North-west Delhi. They use to break in and walk away with cash and valuables in a car without arising suspicion of the residents of the colony.

However, one HC Subhash who was on night patrolling in Maurya Enclave saw a speeding car but when he tried to stop the same, the car did not stop. However, Subhash remembered the car number and the roof being black colour as a distinct feature. The same night police found that a burglary was reported in Pitampura and the CCTV revealed notorious criminal Govinda was wandering in the area with his accomplice Govind. Teams were formed and the information of the car was developed too. The two were arrested after a trap was laid.

“As many as 30 cases of burglaries committed in the area of North-west District have been worked out. They used to come in a car and strike at locked houses,” said Milind Dumbre, DCP North-west.
