Delhi labour dept holds spl grievance resolution camps

Following directions from the Chief Minister’s Public Grievance Monitoring System (PGMS), the labour department organised special grievance resolution camps in six districts of Delhi over the weekend to solve the problems of complainants.

A senior government official said it was noticed that while the volume of grievances being resolved by various departments was satisfactory, the feedback from many of the complainants was that there was scope for improvement.

Taking this into consideration, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal recently convened a meeting with the HoDs of all departments during which they were directed to personally monitor the grievance resolution process to ensure timely and effective handling of cases.

“The labour department was instructed by the PGMS team to organise special grievance resolution camps to provide a personal hearing to the complainants for a proper resolution of grievances. Deputy Labour Commissioners (DLC) of various districts personally reviewed the grievance cases,” an official said.
