Delhi govt to pay tributes to Shastri in Vijay Ghat today

The AAP government decided to organise the birth Anniversary of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on October 2 at Vijay Ghat, the Samadhi of the Great Son of India from 7.30 am to 8.45 am. 

Delhi Culture and Tourism minister Kapil Mishra had formally announced in the Delhi Assembly during the one-day special Session. 

Mishra invited all dignitaries like President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan singh, AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Delhi L-G Najeeb Jung, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia including several freedom fighters and prominent personalities who will pay floral tributes to the leader at Vijay Ghat.
