A couple living in west Delhi's Prashant Vihar area tried to commit suicide by slashing their wrists at their residence here on Wednesday, police said.
According to the police, Praveen (45), a property dealer, and his wife Sarita (43) were found in an unconscious condition by a neighbour at their home. Their two children had gone to school.
They were taken to Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar hospital where their condition is said to be stable, police said. ‘We have not found any suicide note. The couple were apparently depressed over a debt. We are waiting for a statement,’ said a senior police officer.
