DDA further delays draw of lots, likely to be held on 12 Nov

‘We have decided to give another opportunity to the applicants so that they can check discrepancies in application filed by them,’ said Neemo Dhar, spokesperson of DDA.

She further said the draw will be conducted only after all the errors are cleared. ‘We will conduct the draw after fixing all the discrepancies in data. We have given time to the applicants till 12 November to check their forms and report the error,’ said Dhar.

Further explaining the problem she clarified that the data received from Punjab National Bank, one of the designated banks, was incomplete and corrections are received by banks even now. Meanwhile, the draw of lots, this time will be webcast live on YouTube and applicants will be able to watch it.  DDA on Monday, held successful trial runs of the draw. ‘The trial runs are still continuing. We don’t want to take any chances’, the spokeperson said.

DDA has received a total of 10,08,700 applications for over 25,000 flats on offer. The draw of the flats was scheduled on 5 November which was postponed to 10 November. But the trial on Monday revealed some discrepancies.
