DCW writes to ministers for govt jobs to acid attack victims

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal has written to all Ministers of the city government urging them to facilitate jobs for acid attack victims in their respective departments.
The DCW which is working with the Delhi government to rehabilitate acid attack victims has collected the CVs of 33 acid attack victims.

“In this regard I would like to bring to you notice an order by the Chief Minister to provide government jobs to 35 acid attack victims of Delhi which was widely reported by media,” Maliwal said in her letter.

The Commission, she said, along with six acid attack victims had met Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on August 6 who had assured them help. Meanwhile, Maliwal on Wednesday met Grace Forrest, co-founder of an anti-modern slavery organisation, and discussed issues like domestic violence, rehabilitation of acid attack victims and improvement of condition at GB Road.
