Dacoits loot Rs 4L cash from petrol pump in Malda

Armed miscreants decamped with Rs 4 lakh cash from a petrol pump at English Bazar in Malda late night on Friday.

Kamalnath Roy, the petrol pump owner, told to the police that four youth came on two motorbikes. All of them were carrying firearms. They were wearing masks. Thus they could not be identified.

They straightaway entered the office room in the pump and hit on an employee’s head with the butt of a revolver and took the key of cash box at gun point.

They left the place with around Rs 4 lakh. The police initiated a probe in this connection but yet to arrest anyone.
