Crime Branch arrests criminal wanted for 19 cases in W Delhi

Crime Branch has arrested a 26-year-old criminal who was wanted in several cases of robbery, snatching and auto-thefts under different police stations of South-west district, police said on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Sahil, alias Chhota Roshan, a resident of Tara Nagar in Delhi. The 
accused has been previously involved in 19 criminal cases and is an active member of the Saddam Gauri gang, active in West and South-west Districts of Delhi.

According to police, the gang leader Saddam Gauri is associated with the dreaded Neeraj Bawana gang of Outer Delhi, Gaurav Jharera gang of South-west district and Amit Bhura gang of Western UP. He is presently in jail in a murder case of Delhi Cantt area committed by him in association with Gaurav Jharera.

The police further said that after receiving a tip-off that Sahil would come near a bus stop in Dwarka Mod area to meet his aides, a trap was laid and he was apprehended.

During interrogation he told police that he came in contact with local criminals and joined Saddam Gauri’s gang, which is indulged in several heinous offences and also into betting rackets.
