CPI(M) rally hits traffic at Salt Lake

There was massive traffic congestion at Salt Lake and its adjoining areas due to the CPI(M)’s rally in connection with the chit-fund scams. 

The rally started from several areas of Salt Lake. The situation turned worse when the supporters of the party started marching from HUDCO crossing. Buses were found standing in a queue. School and college goers were also harassed due to the traffic jam. Parents had to reach to the places where school buses got stuck due to the traffic congestion to collect their children when they were returning from schools. 

There was an elaborate security arrangement outside the CGO Complex. Water cannons were also kept ready to disperse the mob in case of any hostile situation.
