Cops nab 3 for abducting girl, unearth photos of them brandishing firearms

The Siliguri police recovered a pen drive from three offenders who were arrested on the charges of abducting a girl.

The investigators spotted some pictures in that pen drive, where those offenders were seen posing for a photo shoot with sophisticated guns.

There were five pictures in the pen drive where Rohit Kumar, Ajoy Tripathi and Abhishek Kumar were spotted posing with guns.

“We are surprised to see those China made guns which were brandished by the accused. Those guns are not common among the anti-socials who are presently operating in Siliguri. 

It has to be investigated that how they had got hold of those guns,” said a top brass of the Siliguri police.

It will be recalled that huge amount of gelatin sticks recovered from the house of arrested Nepalese couple – DaoyaTshering Bhutia alias Daoya Bhutia and Puja Limbu at Siliguri’s Pradhannagar, Darjeeling more.

Police learnt about that extra amount of explosives after grilling the accused. They were hidden in a corner of the room which went unnoticed by the investigators.

However, the investigators are looking for a person called ‘Fagu’, who is a close relative of Daoya Bhutia. They believe that this mysterious man named ‘Fagu’ played a leading role in bringing those explosives to Bhutia’s house.

“The pictures of the pen drive are really suspicious. We are presently grilling those youth. We have also unearthed some startling information. We have started investigation after knowing about the information. It cannot be divulged at this time,” the officer said.

However, the sleuths have already started investigation in the gelatin sticks case. They are also looking for some lead in this case.

“It is true that the extremists and anti-socials made this city as a safe passage to reach in the North-east India. But the days have changed. We will lay no stone unturned to nab those criminals,” the officer added.
