Cops arrest cheat who duped on pretext of MBBS courses

The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a cheat who use to dupe MBBS aspirants in various parts of India to undergo the lucrative course from Kyrgyzstan. The arrested accused in a resident of Chattisgarh.

Travelling abroad to do MBBS proved costly for some aspirants and they met a cheat Gopal Anish Acharya who boasted about his international connections and lured many MBBS aspirants to give him money to facilitate MBBS course outside the country. 

The unsuspecting aspirants fell in the trap knowing the Gopal Anish had an MCA degree from Kyrgyzstan. FIR against him was registered in Mohan Nagar Durg, Chattisgarh. The Chatisgarh Police wee looking for him. The Delhi Police Crime Branch nabbed the accused after receiving inputs that the accused was in Delhi. Teams were formed and Gopal Anish was arrested.

“We have arrested the accused Gopal Anish from Dwarka in Delhi. He is a resident of Kerela and has duped eight students and taken Rs 18 lakh from each one of them. FIR in this matter has been lodged in Chattisgarh and the state police sought help from Delhi Police,” said Ravinder Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime branch.

The accused took money from the students and their parents on the pretext of his contacts in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
