Attracting art from all where in the country, the capital is up on an arty spree. It just got bigger and way better with the backing of India and Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. In an initiative to bolster art, ITDC and APTDC have organized 'Tourism for Art', an art camp in New Delhi. 15 artists, 5 days and a gallery of art that shall not let you take eyes off it; be ready for a breathtaking experience.

It was inaugurated by Dr. Lalit K Panwar, chairman of ITDC and Chandana Khan, special chief secretary, tourism in a lounge bedecked with paintings of the invited artists on Saturday, 20 April. The art camp will bring together artists from various regions like Jammu and Kashmir, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Delhi to showcase their work to the art lovers in the city.

These artists shall also get the opportunity to breathe in Delhi, or splash up their personal experiences onto their canvasses here in the luxury of indoor settings or natural environs of Delhi, offered by ITDC. Art shall meet the hospitality and improved services of the tourism industry, at its beck and call, to let the artists get immersed in their work, without any hitch.

It's not a one off effort by ITDC at The Ashok in Delhi. It has been promoting art and culture in the country by conducting art camps at its different hotel properties located across India. A guest is welcomed with exhibits of Indian art and culture alongside the modern and luxurious amenities of ITDC hotels. Coupled with this vision, it provides a platform to promote artists and their works oblivious to many, by bringing them at the forefront. Some masterpieces are in their making in the art camp at the capital. Do not miss out!
