Consumer protection fair to inform about consumer rights

The West Bengal Consumer Affairs Department is organising a Consumer Protection Fair 2015 from December 11-13, 2015. The fair will held at Netaji Indoor Stadium from 2 PM to 8 PM daily.

The Fair will inform people about the West Bengal Right to Public Service Act,2013, which addresses the growing demand of citizens for improved and transparent delivery of public service and ensures a time frame for delivery of such service. The department will organise seminars in the fair on issues relevant to consumer protection.

The Consumer Affairs Dept has been organising awareness programmes through camps, seminars-cum-group discussion, workshops, tableaux (Mobile display van), street dramas, magic shows, talking doll shows and regular awareness programmes with Self Help Groups, Clubs & Associations.
