Construction work on Noida-Faridabad bridges to begin soon

Another infrastructure project by Noida Authority, which has proposed the construction of two bridges across the Yamuna River, is all set to kick-start from 3 February.

The bidding process for companies vying for the contract to construct these bridges, meant towards improving connectivity between the mega townships of Noida and Faridabad, will take place on 3 February. According to officials, a week after financial bidding begins, a company will be chosen and bond would be prepared so that the construction work can begin.

Manoj Rai, officer on special duty (OSD), Noida Authority said, ‘We are in the final stages of the project and the construction work is expected to begin from next month after bidding will take place.’ In October last year, the Noida Authority had decided to appoint consultants to design the blueprint for two bridges, which are expected to be made at a cost of Rs 1,200 crore. The parallel bridges will allow commuters who travel to Haryana from Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, without crossing Delhi.
