Congress will dash hopes of political analysts: Azad

Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday congratulated the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their ‘huge participation’ in the first phase of Assembly elections and said his party’s performance will dash expectations of political analysts.
‘The trend of the first phase reinforces the fact that people of the state crave for speedy, equitable and balanced development of the state with adequate employment opportunities for the youth,’ the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
He said the performance of Congress will dash the hopes and expectations of the ‘so-called political pundits and analysts.’ Azad said people have accepted the agenda of development, good governance, mutual harmony and brotherhood demonstrated by the Congress-led government from 2006-08.
