Complaint against DU for irregular recruitments

A complaint has been registered against University of Delhi (DU) on Wednesday for appointing four members of non-teaching staff even when there was no record of their written examination.

“After the revelation that exposed the corrupt functioning in the university, no action has been taken till now. Though a committee was appointed to look into matter, no information is available regarding committee report or its members. The committee was a complete eye wash. The vice-chancellor Dinesh Singh who himself is accused of so many corruption charges, appointed the committee. The university authorities should have asked for an independent investigation into the matter,” said Raj Kumar Paswan, who filed the complaint on Wednesday.

In October this year, an RTI (Right to Information Inquiry) was filed by one Rajiv Prashar, which revealed that four members of non-teaching staff were appointed but there was no record of their written examination.

For example, one candidate Abhishek (roll number- 911100264), who did not even appear for the examination was selected. Similarly, three other candidates were also appointed on the same basis.
