Compensation cheques for farmers

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will on Friday start distributing compensation cheques under Gajendra Singh Kisan Sahayata Yojana to Delhi farmers whose crops were destroyed by recent unseasonal rains. The distribution process will begin from Bawana in Delhi, a statement said on Tuesday. The Delhi Cabinet had on May 1 approved the scheme and the formula for payment of compensation to the farmers.  our correspondent
