Clearing garbage in Capital responsibility of MCDs: AAP

The AAP on Friday launched a campaign over the unattended garbage in the city, as it put the onus of cleaning the filth entirely on the BJP-ruled civic bodies. Starting on Friday, AAP is putting up a hand-shaped sticker, that reads “Spot the KACHRA: it is BJP-ruled MCDs’ duty to clear this filth”, across Delhi’s garbage dumps to drive home the message. Ironically, it comes within a week of CM Arvind Kejriwal’s call for cross-party unity to tackle the mosquito menace in Delhi, which is reeling under a spurt in cases of chikungunya and dengue. “AAP volunteers will identify garbage dumps and paste the stickers. The campaign will cover all the 70 Assembly constituencies. AAP volunteers will complete the work of placing stickers in one week,” party leader Ashish Talwar said.
