Clash in Muzaffarnagar, girl killed, 4 injured

A 19-year-old girl was killed and four others, including three children, were seriously injured in a clash between two groups at Jahanpura village in neighbouring Shamli district.
The incident occurred on Tuesday in Kairana area when two persons, Akhlak and Afsar, confronted each other after their children got involved in a fight, Superintendent of Police Vijay Bhushan said on Wednesday. The dispute snowballed into a clash between the two sides in which fire arms and other weapons were freely used, he added. The girl, identified as Shano, daughter of Afsar, died on the spot.
Sabir (9), Arif (8), Juned (16) and Akhlak sustained bullet injuries and were taken to hospital in serious condition. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, the SP said.
