Claiming Delhi's shadows: 'The City is Mine'

If you love your city and you love photography, then 'The City is Mine' event, sponsored by Lee and backed by the talent source from 'Photography On the Move' - is just for you.

The team comprising of photography instructors from 'Photography On the Move' along with photography enthusiasts will be guided through the heart of Delhi – Chandni Chowk and the photos they capture can even get them a prize at the end. The focus is on photographing shadows in parts of a city that imbibe the culture deep in its veins.

The idea behind this interesting initiative is to live through the 'feel' of the city by tapping in to best locations and capturing it on reel. The focus is on the play of shadows. The instructors will help the participants capture the best shots by guiding them through the methods of shadow photography.

The team of 'The City is Mine' has already worked their magic in Bangalore – where they took over Russel Market and Mumbai where the choice location was the Gateway of India. After Chandni Chowk in Delhi the team will head off to Hyderabad.

As Supriya from Photography “On the Move”, explains, all photographers with any form of cameras – SLRs, digicams, mobile phone cameras – all are encouraged. Vaibhav the chief instructor behind the initiative would initially be guiding the participants at the start of the day after which other instructors would take on teams on 10 under them for the days task.

The walk starts at Jain Temple (Bird Mandir) on Sunday, 29 April at 8:15 am. So grab your cameras and head there.
