City runs to fight against rampant drug abuse

The 11th ‘run against drug abuse’ was organised in the capital on Wednesday. More that 5,000 people are reported to have participated in the event.
The main motto of the rally was to create awareness amongst people about the misuse of drugs. The event was organised with the support of various government organisations.
To convey the message, a series of events were held including band performances, poster making competitions, a slogan march and an expo on drug de-addiction.
Cabinet minister Kumari Selja, minister of social justice and empowerment and minister of WCD and education Kiran Walia graced the event.
