Delhi gives Rs 5 crore to Himachal 
NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has contributed Rs 5 crore towards the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for undertaking relief and rehabilitation work in rain and flood-ravaged areas of the hill state, an official statement said here Monday. Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh has thanked the government and people of Delhi for contributing towards the noble cause which, he said, would help undertaking restoration works.

700 kg of Red sanders wood seized at IGI airport
NEW DELHI: In a major recovery, over 700 kg of red sanders wood was seized at the Indira Gandhi International Airport today from 29 Chinese nationals, who were allegedly trying to smuggle it to China.The seizure was made by officers of Air Intelligence Unit, who intercepted two groups of Chinese nationals who had come to board a flight to China, officials said.

4 killed, 2 seriously injured in accident on Yamuna Expressway
NEW DELHI:Four persons were killed while two others critically injured when their SUV crashed into a road divider and overturned on Yamuna Expressway near Tappal area on Monday. Virendra Singh (55), Nirale (40), Rahimpal (25) and Ram Kumar (28), all residents of Etawah, were killed in the mishap.  

South Delhi mayor seeks report on illegal mobile towers
NEW DELHI: Mayor of South Delhi Sarita Chaudhary on Monday directed the commissioner Manish Gupta to submit a detailed report on illegal mobile tower installed in 104 wards within 10 days. Chaudhary also sought to know if the property tax has been paid for the property on which these towers are installed.
