Chinese VicePresident arrives in city today

Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao will arrive on Wednesday on a two-day visit to the city as part of his tour to India to inject a new momentum in bilateral ties. State secretariat officials said here that Li would arrive on Wednesday evening from Aurangabad and leave for Delhi after staying overnight and attending three programmes the day after.

During his stay in the city, Li would visit the ancestral house of Rabindra Nath Tagore at Jorasanko, meet West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi at the Raj Bhavan over lunch and later Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Eco-Park at New Town before leaving for Delhi.
