Chinese national jumps to death

A 34-year-old Chinese expatriate jumped to death from the eighth floor of his office building in Gurgaon’s sector 48 on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Shuangfa Luo from Shenzhen city in China.

According to the police, the deceased, an engineer in a leading electronics company, jumped off the gap between the staircases at 11.08 am. Eyewitnesses told police that he looked down the stairs for a while, after which he placed his phone on a side wall and jumped.

“The deceased was living in Orchid Petal towers in sector 49 with his wife. He was taken to Medanta Hospital, where he was declared brought dead by doctors. An investigation is being carried out on the basis of the wife’s statement,” said Vijay Kumar, SHO, Sadar police station.

Police claimed that Luo was suffering from depression and was on medication for the same.
