Chinese held with sandalwood at IGIA, fined Rs 30,000

A Chinese national was apprehended for allegedly carrying sandalwood at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here. The Chinese national, identified as Mingxing (40), arrived at the T-3 of the international airport on 21 July at around 2 am to travel to Guangzhou and he was intercepted by a CISF check squad as they found his movements suspicious.

In a separate case, CISF officials apprehended a man who allegedly used to con people into getting jobs in government departments.
The person, identified as Viplav Kumar Das, was apprehended from the Laxmi Nagar Metro station while he was checking the documents of an aspirant whom he had called.
