Child killed, 14 missing after leisure boat capsizes in China, rescue on

“The child was one of the four people who were rescued from the Bailong Lake in Guangyuan City of Sichuan Province after the 40-seater boat carrying 18 people. 

The accident happened at around early afternoon on the Bailong Lake in Guangyuan, the city’s Lizhou District government said in a statement. As per official statements, strong gales were to be blamed. 

As per reports, the child did not respond to emergency treatment and died at a local hospital.  The document did not give the name, age or gender of the child.  The other three survivors are out of danger but are still being treated.

The search and rescue operation for the missing is still on.
