Sources said the Chief Secretary wrote to all the departments on Friday and they were asked to submit their plans to him by first week of September.

It may be mentioned that most departments forms a plan. One is a short-term plan in which all tasks are implemented on an immediate basis within a short span of time. The departments also prepare long term plans that may take around five years or more. In addition to that, sometimes, special emphasis is given to take up projects with special focus on certain issues.

On Friday, Chief Secretary has directed all the departments to submit detailed project reports for five years. In the report, there must be mention of the expenditure for a project, the actual planning, the expected time of completion and outcome of the same.

The departments have been asked to submit their reports latest by the first week of the next month. The Chief Secretary would be sending all the reports to the Chief Minister. She will look into each and every report to create a roadmap that would make the process of completion of the projects smooth. Sources in Nabanna said the CM may fix time periods by which every project has to be completed after going through the reports.
