Cherishing rich, traditional heritage

Dr Vinay Bharat Ram, an Indian Classical vocalist from Maihar Gharana has collected his musical journey, which began early in his life. The collection comprises of 12 ragas recorded and compiled by himself over the last forty years. The CD collection was unveiled recently by Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia at Multipurpose Hall, India International Centre.

Anoushka Shankar and Ustad Aashish Khan were present to grace the occasion. 

The upcoming 12 CD’s of Dr Vinay Bharat Ram is all evening and late night ragas. The ragas are based on the theme “love” between Radha and Krishna. There are 30 ragas in the CD’s and it has deeper meanings and it emotionally connects with soul. Bharat Ram has almost done 300-400 concerts in his life. On this delightful occasion, Anoushka Shankar said, “My father would have been very proud on his achievement.” 

Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia, the flute maestro also appreciated the work done by Dr Vinay Bharat Ram, despite of him being the business tycoon and taking his time out of his hectic schedule and dedicating his precious 40 years just and just for Hindustani Classical music.
