Celebrating Indo-Spanish relations

The Embassy of Spain and ‘Seher’, an organisation to promote performing and visual arts, in association with Bikaner house organized the first ever regal performance of the Encuentro flamenco group from Spain in the national Capital.

The Event showcasing the flamenco was a celebration of 60 years of cordial relations between India and Spain.

Sanjeev Bhargava, the founder of ‘Seher’ said, “The idea is that we keep inviting international artists who need to be put forward on Indian stage, because it’s important that right kind of artists come and perform in India, and they are presented well whether it is over here or anywhere else.”

The evening was also a celebration of Spain’s commitment to the second edition of the Udaipur Music festival that will enthrall Rajasthan and the entire country in February 2017.

As a prelude to the festival, the evening witnessed the magical performance of the Encuentro flamenco, a Young music ensemble from Spain. The magic woven by dancer Anabel Moreno, guitarist José Almarcha, singer Debel and Valduncie transported the audiences to the rich land of Spain with their traditional Flamenco accentuated with an avant-garde brew packaged in an hour of emotions, passion and joy.
