CD highlighting TMC’s achievements to be launched

“Bolo ma mati manusher joy,” a CD containing songs and recitation will be published on Tuesday.

Veteran Nazrul Geeti exponent Kalyani Kazi has sung Nazrul’s famous composition “Tora Shob Joyodhoni kor”.

The CD has been prepared by composer Abhijit Chattopadhyay. 

He said Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has carried out all-round development work in the state and her work needs to be highlighted. “As composers and performing artists we thought that it is our duty to support her in the election. Undoubtedly, West Bengal has seen development under her regime. Rural households are getting electricity, roads have been improved and people are getting drinking water in the villages. As artists we travel a lot and the change we witnessed here are remarkable. Everybody is appreciating the beautification programmes taken up in Kolkata,” he said.

The CD has two Rabindrasangeet. They are, Ore notun juger bhore and Jodi tor dak shune keu na ashe tobe ekla cholo re. Besides Chattopadhyay, Rahul Barman has also sung some songs. 

The elocutionists like Sutapa Bandopadhyay, Ashis Dasgupta and Rahul Barman have read poems and prose in this collection.It may be recalled that Shreya Ghosal has sung a song composed by Mamata Banerjee.
