CBI tightens noose around Raja Bhaiya

Tightening its grip around former Uttar Pradesh minister Raghuraj Paratp Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, the sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday grilled a Samajwadi Party MLA from Pratapgarh, who is said to be a close lieutenant of the independent MLA.

The MLA alleged to have threatened the family members of slain gram pradhan of Balipur, Nanhe Yadav, with their lives if they dare to open their mouth about the motive as well as sequence of events which led to triple murder, including that of Deputy SP of Kunda Circle, Zia-ul-Haq.

Sources said the CBI sleuths summoned SP MLA from Babaganj in Pratapgarh, Vinod Kumar Saroj and questioned him about his threatening call made to the family members of Nanhe Yadav. The calls were allegedly made through his mobile number registered in the name of Raja Bhaiya.

The CBI asked as what prompted MLA to make a call. The sleuths also cross-examined him whether the  allegations made by Nanhe Yadav’s family were true. Sources said the CBI particularly tried to ascertain whether the call was made under influence of Raja Bhaiya.
