CBI questions senior cop Usha Rada in Ishrat case

Deputy superintendent of police Usha Rada was questioned by the CBI in connection with the Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case on Wednesday. Rada had not provided any information to the CBI after she was questioned about a letter sent by her to the forensic science laboratory (FSL) asking for the ballistic report of the encounter.
In course of the investigation, CBI had found that though Rada had nothing to do with the Ishrat investigation, she had asked for the report. The agency wanted to know her intention for doing so. Sources said although Rada had admitted to having signed the letter and sent it to FSL, she did not remember the exact reason for asking for the report.
