CBI promotes Khadi in international conference

In a rare gesture to promote Khadi, CBI for the first time on 6th International Global Focal Point Conference of Interpol officials gave silk ties and silk stoles to more than 400 participants who came from across the globe. 

The conference was held in New Delhi on November 18. CBI placed the order to supply ties and stoles to Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), which is the nodal agency to promote Khadi. 

As many as 350 silk ties and colourful silk stoles were supplied by the KVIC in a record seven days in attractive packaging, as approved by CBI officials.  

The Khadi silk ties and stoles were handspun and hand woven and were highly appreciated by the international participants.  

The order was executed under the direct supervision of V K Saxena, chairman of the KVIC. The conference was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
