CBI letter to Railway Board seeks action against US Jha

The Central Board Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday sent letter to Railway Board asking the Board to take action against the general secretary of All India RPF association, US Jha, for occupying three government bungalows in the name of the association.

CBI asked how can multiple bungalows be allotted in the name of the association.

‘CBI had informed the Railway Board in April that a retired officer holding post of All India Secretary General, RPF (who had retired in 2010) was allegedly personally occupying two government accommodations and was also in possession of one more accommodation allotted to All India RPF Association. CBI had conveyed this irregularity which is also in violation of Delhi High Court Orders, to the Railway Board for necessary action as per rules,' the CBI said.

While the RPF association on Wedensday said that the CBI Chief Ranjit Sinha has a personal vendetta behind the involvement in illegal transfers and postings while Sinha was the director general of RPF, CBI rejected the same. The All India Association alleges witch hunting by CBI over the issue.
