Cate Blanchett to turn director for The Dinner

Actress Cate Blanchett will step behind the camera for her directorial debut with the physiological thriller The Dinner.

The movie is based on Dutch writer Herman Koch’s eponymous bestseller, reports aceshowbiz.com. 

 

The Dinner is a dark tale about two couples who are struggling to make a tough decision regarding their teenage sons. The story unfolds while they are gathered for dinner at a high-end restaurant in Amsterdam. Blanchett was last seen in Woody Allen-directed movie Blue Jasmine.
