Car stolen after assaulting driver

A white Fortuner car was stolen near South-west Delhi’s Hotel Radisson on Wednesday night by two unidentified persons. The car was parked on the service lane. The incident took place around 10.50 pm when the driver of the car had parked the vehicle at the service road near the hotel. 

Two armed men came and brutally attacked the driver. The owner of the car, Ramashankar Pandey, heads the Indian plant of the German automobile company, Hella Automotive. He was busy in a meeting when the robbery took place.

According to Pandey, “the driver had a tussle with the two but they overpowered him and fled with the car.” He made a PCR call. 

A case of robbery under Section 392 has been registered at the Dwarka (North) police station against unidentified persons.

According to police officials, surveillance teams were dispatched after the incident and investigation is on to nab the accused.
