Call centre woman employee found dead in Durgapur

Mystery shrouds the death of a woman call centre employee from Odisha, whose body was found hanging from her rented house in Durgapur on Monday morning. The incident that took place within a few days after the murder of a techie from Kolkata, Antara Das, in Pune, led to a panic in the area. Police said the victim, Akanshya Rauth, used to work in a call centre in Durgapur. She had been working in the call centre for the past few months. 

Monday morning no one found Akanshya and initiated a search for her. Later, her body was found in the room. The police are yet to ascertain whether it is a case of homicide or suicide. The police have questioned some of his colleagues and her parents have been informed. The police are waiting to ask her parents whether she had rivalry with anyone or she had been disturbed by anyone in the recent times. The investigating officers would also speak to her employer. 

The police searched her room to find whether she had left anything in writing. Police suspect that she was suffering from depression and could have committed suicide. The police are also going through her call details and messages that she had sent to her friends to ascertain whether she was engaged into an affair with anyone after joining her job in Durgapur. The police would speak to her parents whether she was getting disturbed by someone in Durgapur.
