Call centre sealed, 2 arrested for online job fraud

A call centre was on Wednesday sealed off and two persons were arrested by the Uttar Pradesh STF after complaints that they indulged in an online job fraud.

The 60-seater call centre was located in the basement of Moolchand Tower in Sector 22. “The STF sleuths also seized 14 bank accounts of the call centre. These are being scrutinised to determine the amount of fraud,” said Additional SP (UPSTF), Lucknow, Triveni Singh. Employees of the call centre used to draw job seekers by <g data-gr-id="14">posing</g> as recruiters and charge fees for interviews. They also offered fake offer letter to many people. “Their e-commerce website is 2dayindiashopping.com. Fake companies floated by them are IJ <g data-gr-id="15">naukri</g> services, Info solution, FNF Naukri solution, Info Edge Services, Civic Communication and Zip India <g data-gr-id="18">Shopping</g> Mars,” said Singh.
