All their efforts to trace the victim went in vain.
Police started a search on Tuesday night but failed to find the victim. The local police station had contacted other police stations in the district to check if they had any clues about the missing businessman.
Early on Wednesday morning, some local residents first spotted the body lying in the vat and informed the police who in turn visited the spot and recovered the dead body. They sent the body for post mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of his death.
According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the local businessman might have been throttled to death as the investigating officers have spotted some injury marks on his throat. They have started a probe to ascertain if the businessman had any business rivalry with anyone.
The family members of the victim had told the police that he was a good natured person and he did not have any rivalry with anybody in the area.
