Sanjeev Dua takes over as HDC MD

NEW DELHI: MMTC Ltd Chief GM Sanjeev Dua assumed charge as Managing Director of National Handloom Development Corporation Ltd (NHDC) on May Day. An alumnus of St. Xavier's School, New Delhi, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) New Delhi, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, and Panjab University, Chandigarh, he holds educational qualifications of PG in International Trade, MBA, and MA in Economics.

He has served as Trustee Board Member on the Marmugao Port Trust, Goa and has attended program of Strategic Leadership for Senior Managers at IIM Ahmedabad.

He started his professional career in 1983 having worked with DCM-Shriram and Birla Groups and with multinational Woolworth Overseas Corporation USA India office and is widely travelled in India and overseas.

At MMTC he has held various challenging assignments at Corporate and at Regional offices and is recipient of Best Regional Award while posted at Goa.

During his distinguished career at MMTC he has handled all facets of Management covering International Trade, Corporate Planning, Finance & Accounts, Administration & Personnel, Audit, Law and International Arbitration.

He lives with his wife, former Assistant Professor, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), and his son who is pursuing his MBBS degree at AIIMS.
