S P Bansal joins SJVN Ltd as Director (Civil)

SHIMLA: Surinder Pal Bansal has been appointed Director (Civil) of SJVN Limited by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB), Govt. of India. He has since assumed charge of the position in the company.

Prior to joining SJVN, S.P. Bansal was working as Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Salts Limited. He succeeds Kanwar Singh who superannuated on 31st

March, 2019.

Bansal did his B-Tech Civil from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana and he also holds Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala.

He started his career in 1987 with Punjab State Electricity Board and also has teaching experience at REC, Kurukshetra. He joined SJVN in 1993 as Civil Engineer and worked in various departments and projects and rose to the level of Addl. General Manager before joining Hindustan Salt

Limited as Chairman & Managing Director.
