Quality fortnight observed by Eastern Coalfields Ltd

New Delhi: Quality fortnight was observed in Eastern Coalfields Limited from 25 June 10 July, 2018. The closing ceremony of Quality awareness fortnight was celebrated on 24 July at Rabindra Nazrul Sanskritik Bhawan, Community Hall, Chinchuria under Sonepur Bazari area. On 24 July, four Mobile Medical Van (ambulances) under CSR project were inaugurated by the Chairman of Coal India Limited A K Jha. After inauguration, all the four MMVs were flagged off to their destination.

Out of four ambulances, one will serve Sonepur Bazari Area and Kenda Area, one will serve Pandaveswar Area, Jhanjra Area and Bankola Area, one will serve Rajmahal Area and the last one will serve Kalla Hospital and Satgram Area. This comes under CSR Project of ECL.

After inauguration of MMV, A K Jha, Chairman, CIL, lighted the lamp and started the closing ceremony. Cultural programme was performed by members of ECL family.

The Quality Control prizes were distributed in three categories i.e. Best Area, Best Area Sales Manager and Best Staff in Quality dept. i.e. Chemist, Technical Inspector, Loading Inspector and Laboratory along with artist of cultural programme. A K Jha, Chairman, CIL, also announced Rs 50,000 to the artists of cultural programme.

Prizes were distributed by the Chairman, CIL, A K Jha, CMD, ECL and S Soni, D(F), ECL. Highly motivational speech was delivered by the chief guest. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks by V K Singh, Adviser (Sales), ECL.
