NLCIL observes the 8th Public Sector Day

To showcase the contribution extended by the Public Sector Organizations in nation-building and social progress, NLC India Limited celebrates 8th Public Sector Week from April 11-15, under the aegis of Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), an apex body for Central Government owned Public Enterprises/Public Sector Undertakings.

NLCIL observed the 8th 'Public Sector Day' in a function organised at Corporate Office premises at Neyveli, on April 11, wherein Director Rakesh Kumar hoisted the Public Sector Flag. Syed Abdul Fateh Khalid,ED/Mines, presided over the function.

Sarat Kumar Acharya, CMD,NLC IL in his absence sent his Public Sector Day Message which was read by N Muthu.

In his special message CMD, NLCIL stressed on the exemplary role played by Public Sectors in propelling the economic growth of the nation. He reinforced the fact that a "Can Do" spirit and dedicated efforts of employees will surely take organizations from the level of "Wealth to Well being".

He congratulated NLCI employees for their impressive performance for the FY 2016-17 which resulted in record breaking results in all fronts. He reinstated that NLCIL was making continuous efforts in the fields of Swachh Bharath, Skill India, and Cashless Transactions to realize the nation's mission.

Rakesh Kumar, Director (Finance) in his speech said Public Sectors are the back bone of the country which are playing dual role by giving employment directly or indirectly to lakhs of people and taking Social welfare programmes to the lowest level of masses without aspiring for profitability.
