NLCI, NHPC ink pact for 'power trading'

NEYVELI: MoU between NLC India Ltd, (A Mining and Power Generating PSU) and NHPC Ltd, (A leading Hydro Power Generating PSU) in the area of Power Trading was signed by A.Ganesan, Executive Director/Commercial, NLC India Ltd, and D Chakraborty, CGM/Finance, NHPC Ltd, on Monday at Chennai in the presence of Rakesh Kumar, CMD, R.Vikraman, Director (Human Resources) and Nadella Naga Maheswar Rao, Director (Planning & Projects) of NLC India Ltd, through video conference. Through this MoU, NHPC and NLCIL will offer surplus power available in the Northern & North East Region to the bulk consumers in Southern Region at an affordable tariff. This MoU will create win-win situation for the generators and bulk consumers.
