NCR appoints MC Chauhan as new GM

M C Chauhan has been given the additional charge of new General Manager of North Central Railway, Kolkata, with immediate effect of February 1, 2017.
Presently he is working as General Manager Metro Railway, Kolkata. Shri Chauhan belongs to the 1979 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE). Prior to his posting as GM, Metro Railway, he was working as Adviser, Railway Electrification in Railway Board.
He has varied experience of working in various posts of Indian Railways including Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai, Central Railway from 2009 to 2011, during which 167 new suburban services were introduced and the 6th line was commissioned between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Thane Station.
