Industrial oils slump on selling, low demand

Castor seed oil and castor oil commercial fell from its three-session rally in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi oils and oil seeds wholesale market here amid selling from stockists following subdued demand from shippers and soap industries.

Meanwhile, groundnut oil, refined palmolein and linseed oil all ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity.

In the non-edible section, castor seeds bold dropped by Rs 375 per 100 kg to Rs 4,775 from Friday's closing level of Rs 5,150 and castor oil commercial dipped Rs 75 per 10 kg to Rs Rs 985 as against Rs 1,060 yesterday. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 830 per 10 kg.

Moving to the edible segment, groundnut oil and refined palmolein ended unaltered at Rs 1,025 and Rs 567 per 10 kgs, respectively.
